Autographed Invitation to Walt Disney's Favorite Restaurant Located between Walt Disney's Hyperion Studio and the current Burbank Disney Studio, the Tam O'Shanter was arguably Walt Disney's favorite restaurant. It was only minutes from Walt's first Hollywood homes on Lyric Avenue and Woking Way, and the Hyperion Studio. It remains a Los Angeles institution today, just a couple of freeway exits from The Disney Studio and Walt Disney Imagineering. This 1957 Invitation to the restaurant's 35 anniversary party is boldly signed by Walt Disney on a blank panel. Included is an email from a family member of the original recipient which reads: I have an autograph of Walt Disney from 1957. He was speaker the Tam O'Shanter Inn Los Angeles California for their 35th Anniversary and my father James Adams was active in the Scottish Clans of Southern California at that time and attended with my mother this event. I was 15 when my father brought this home to me..." According to the Disney Company's official fan club, D23: "The Tam O'Shanter was a favorite restaurant for Walt Disney and his animators, and was often referred to as the Studio Commissary when Walt's fledgling company was located in the neighborhood.
