The Difference is Authenticity!

Walt Disney (over shoulder of man in white) signs autographs in Marceline, Missouri in July of 1956.

  Walt Disney Autograph from
His Boyhood Home, Marceline, Missouri

In July of 1956, Walt Disney returned to his boyhood home of Marceline, Missouri for the first time as a successful Hollywood movie producer.  Marceline left such an impact on Walt as a boy that its main thoroughfare, Kansas Street, had become the inspiration for Main Street USA at Disneyland, and it was the family farm in Marceline that provided Walt with the exposure to all the animals that would later inspire so many of his films.  Walt was important to Marceline, and the town was important to Walt;  he eventually built a miniature Disneyland Autopia in town!

July 4th festivities in 1956 included Walt Disney attending ceremonies to dedicate the town's new alt Disney park and swimming pool.  This autograph includes an email from a woman who lived in Marceline until the age of 12, stating the autograph was probably obtained during Walt's 1956 visit (he visited again in 1960).

This is a rare opportunity to own a Walt Disney autograph from the town whose inspiration is apparent in so many Disney films and every Disney theme park.  The autograph is signed on a 5" x 3" peach-colored paper which has been glued to another sheet.  It has been framed with a 2004 postal cover from Marceline, MO.  Glue show-through on signature, otherwise fine condition.  Included is the Phil Sears Collectibles Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity, and a photo of Walt Disney suitable for framing.  Item # 3781, framed, with email  $1395
