Gorgeous Walt Disney Autograph! A beautiful 1956 Walt Disney autograph signed in thick dark fountain pen ink-- with the original Disney Studio mailing envelope. If you wrote to the Walt Disney Studio asking for an autograph back in Walt's day, most often you would receive a signature signed by one of Walt's employees on his behalf. But occasionally, when Walt Disney had time, he personally signed a few. Disney Archivist Dave Smith told me that when he was just a teenager he received an authentic Walt Disney autograph in the mail. Luckily, so did the collector who wrote for this one. Included is an email from the collector's niece which states (in part): ... It was from my uncle... who was crazy for Disney ...Well, we still have boxes and boxes of his in storage, and I found this the other day, in the bottom of a box of books ...It’s hard to believe how much my uncle was into Disney as a youth and that he saved all this stuff but I guess that was his way..." It's a rare bonus to have the original envelope. One can only imagine the excitement in which it was opened! The autograph is on a 5" x 3" card, and is in very fine condition. Framed to an overall size of approximatly 16" x 11". Also includes the email from the former owner and the Phil Sears Collectibles Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity.
