What AUTOGRAPH COLLECTOR MAGAZINE Says
About Phil Sears:

"...Only a few (dealers) specialize in authentic, vintage Disney autographs and memorabilia.  Perhaps the best of these is Phil Sears..."

The renowned architect Welton Becket designed many of Hollywood's most famous buildings. Walt Disney hired Becket's company to design General Electric's Progressland (Carousel of Progress) pavilion and the Ford Magic Skyway pavilion at the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair. This DISNEYLAND record album cover is personally autographed to Mrs. Welton Becket  by the album's singers and Walt Disney:

ME TOO---- Walt Disney

The Beckets and Disneys became friends and the two families sometimes vacationed together. It's said that their trip to Cuba inspired Walt Disney to create Pirates of the Caribbean.  Although neither man lived to see Walt Disney World open, Welton Becket’s company designed the Contemporary Hotel and Polynesian Resort. Even the entrance to Disney's Hollwyood Studio and Disney California Adventure is based on Becket's design for Hollywood's Pan-Pacific Auditorium.

This 1958 album comprises 12 folk songs performed by Frances Archer and Beverly Gile.  Walt Disney first heard the two singers at a party and booked them on the original Mickey Mouse Club television show.  He then signed them to record on the Disneyland label.

Album cover measures approx. 12" x 12".  Record and album cover show wear; tape remnants on back of album.  Writing by the singers is difficult to read (see photos).  Walt Disney's autograph is dark and bold.  More than just a Walt Disney autograph, this piece represents an important creative connection spanning from the original Mickey Mouse Club TV show to the Carousel of Progress at the NY World's Fair to the Contemporary Hotel and Polynesian Resort at Walt Disney World.
