Walt Disney "Davy Crockett" Autographs

The autographs of Walt Disney and three of the stars of "Davy Crockett King of the Wild Frontier!" An email from the former owner explains how the signatures were obtained:

"I was cleaning out stuff and ran across an old envelope from my grandmother. She had written “guard with you life - autographs” on the cover. I vaguely remember getting this as a kid—it was an autograph of Fess Parker from 1955 when he was filming “Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier” in Cherokee, North Carolina. But when I pulled Fess’s signature out of the envelope, there were two other things behind it that I didn’t remember—a signature of Don Megowan who was also in the movie and one of Walt Disney. Fess’s and Don’s autographs are on the back of checks to her bank account. Walt’s signature is on a piece of pink paper with Jeff York’s signature on the back. Fess’s and Walt’s autographs are “to Timmy” — me..."

Walt Disney has signed in bold dark ink on a sheet measuring approximately 4" x 2.75." Jeff York has signed on the back of the sheet signed by Walt Disney. Fess Parker and Don Megowan have signed on sheets measuring 6" x 3". "Davy Crockett King of the Wild Frontier" is a 1955 adventure film produced by combining and editing the first three episodes of the Davy Crockett television miniseries, Davy Crockett Indian Fighter, Davy Crockett Goes to Congress, and Davy Crockett at the Alamo.
