1955 Disneyland Brochure
Autographed by Walt Disney

A Walt Disney autographed Disneyland brochure from the park's first summer.  On July 17, 1955, Disneyland opened to the public in Anaheim, Calif. and one of the featured displays in Tomorrowland was the Kaiser Aluminum Hall of Fame.  This four page brochure details the extensive use of the light-weight metal in the design and development of rides and attractions throughout what was being heralded as "Tomorrow's Super Playland".  Walt Disney has autographed the cover in blue ballpoint.  It's a very nice bold signature on an early and rare piece of early Disneyland memorabilia.

The brochure was once affixed in a scrapbook and the back cover has scrapbook remnants covering it (see photo below).  Brochure has two folds and shows edge wear and minor tears; tears have been reinforced (almost invisibly) with archival tape from inside; otherwise good condition.  A very rare Walt Disney autographed memento from Disneyland's grand opening summer. Includes the Phil Sears Collectibles Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity.  Item # 4690
