Walt Disney Autographed HAPPY Handkerchief

This charming 1937 "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" souvenir handkerchief is personally auotgrphed by Walt Disney. Included is a brief email from the former owner:

I have a "Happy" (of the Seven Dwarfs) handkerchief autographed by Walt Disney.  My great uncle wrote for Life Magazine. He interviewed Walt Disney, got the autograph and saved it.

Collectors buy based on emotion, and Snow White is a classic movie that gets collectors excited. The first feature length animated movie, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" launched a golden era of Disney classics, followed by "Pinocchio," "Fantasia," "Dumbo," and "Bambi." So important was Snow White to the Disney Company that the theater of it's première, the Carthay Circle, is the centerpiece at the hub of Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort.

Walt Disney's cursive autograph changed over the years.  The handkerchief is autographed with his circa 1937 signature.  It's an uncommon signature because Walt Disney was not recognized as easily before the TV age, so most of his autographs date from the 1950s and 60s.  This early style of his autograph was used as the logo for the Walt Disney Classics Collection (shown at right).
