Walt Disney Signed Letter

A 1958 signed letter on Walt Disney's personal stationery.  Walt Disney writes to Jack Ainsworth Morgan-- also known as John  Morgan--  a novelist, screenwriter and restaurateur.  He opened the Cock 'n Bull restaurant on Hollywood's Sunset Strip in 1937.  (It was there in 1941 that he co-created the Moscow Mule cocktail.) 

Walt is apparently responding to Morgan's praise of actress Narda Onyx.  The film to which Walt Disney refers is an episode of his Sunday night television show which would air January 30 the following year.  "The Peter Tchaikovsky Story"  followed the young Tchaikovsky through the premiere of his "Sleeping Beauty" ballet.  The actress portrayed Belgian soprano Desiree Artot. 

Onyx appeared in dozens of supporting roles on television and in motion pictures during the 1950s and 1960s, including The Beverly Hillbillies, Have Gun - Will Travel, and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. In addition, she played Gretl Braun in Hitler (1962) and Maria Frankenstein in Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter (1966).
