Many movie historians consider PINOCCHIO to be the most perfect of Disney's animated films.  Film critic Leonard Maltin stated that "with Pinocchio Disney reached not only the height of his powers, but the apex of what many critics consider to be the realm of the animated cartoon."  RottenTomatoes.com gave the film the website's highest rating of 100%!  The general consensus on the site is "Ambitious, adventurous, and sometimes frightening, Pinocchio arguably represents the pinnacle of Disney's collected works - it's beautifully crafted and emotionally resonant."

Pinocchio has been added to the United States National Film Registry, being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."   TIME magazine named it the #1 best animated movie of "The 25 All-TIME Best Animated Films."  The film also features the song "When you wish upon a star," which has become the Disney Company theme song.

This 1939 Random House PINOCCHIO book has been boldly autographed by Walt Disney with a gigantic 8 inch long signature!  Walt has picked red conte crayon to compliment the colors of the title page.  Walt kept these crayons on his desk for this purpose (see photo below).
