Walt Disney Signed Letter
Referencing Disneyland and MARY POPPINS

Just 5 days after the grand opening of Enchanted Tiki Room on June 23rd, Walt Disney signs this letter on his on his personalized WALT DISNEY letterhead.  In the letter, he mentions the opening new attractions at Disneyland as one of the reasons he can't travel to Minnesota to accept an award from the Rooters Club.  Walt also mentions "I am so involved in major pictures just going into production."  The most important film Walt is referring to is MARY POPPINS which began shooting at the Disney Studio one month earlier and was in full swing when this letter was written.

The letter is written to the Rooters Club, a social organization based in Rochester, Minnesota.  It was founded in 1948 and engaged in various charitable endeavors, including supporting local charities, organizing fundraisers for community projects, and providing scholarships to deserving students.  When evaluating letters, collectors like good content.  A Walt Disney letter that mentions Disneyland and refers to films like MARY POPPINS is very good content!  The letter is in very fine condition with minor paper clip stains at top and the usual mailing folds.  Meaures 10.5" x 7.25".  Not framed.  Includes the Phil Sears Collectibles Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity.  Also includes the 8" x 10" photo shown above.  Item # 4931, $8,495
