BAMBI Print Autographed by Walt Disney

BAMBI... a true Walt Disney classic!  In June 2008, the American Film Institute announced "Ten Top Ten"—the best ten films in ten "classic" American film  genres- and Bambi was acknowledged as the third best film in the animation genre.  

This beautiful image of Bambi and his friends is personally autographed by Walt Disney.  Back in Walt's day the Disney Studio made these top quality dye-transfer prints to give as high-end promotional items.   Dye-transfer prints capture all the vibrant colors of the original cels (and are often mistaken for cels). 

This wonderful print features Bambi, his rabbit friend Thumper and Flower the skunk.  Walt Disney has autographed the mat in forest green crayon with a giant signature almost 5" long.  At the end of the day, Walt Disney would autograph a small number of items his secretary placed on his desk for special attention.  This piece is especially desirable as it is not personalized  (it is not signed "To Bob" for example). 

BAMBI, perhaps the quintessential Disney movie, is one of those titles that gets Disney collectors excited.  Frame is worn and margins of mat have been trimmed; otherswise very fine condition.  This framed piece measures approximately 17" x 13.5" overall.  Includes the original Walt Disney Studio authenticity label stating this print is one of only 100 produced.  Also includes my Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity Certificate.  Walt Disney’s signature is desirable on its own, but when he has autographed an item associated with one of this classic films or memorable characters (both in this case), the appeal is tremendous!  Item # 6304, $7495
