An extremely rare autographed image of Walt Disney in front of a map of Disneyland! Any signed COLOR photograph of Walt Disney is extremely rare, and this one is of Walt Disney and Disneyland! Includes an email from the former owner:

"In October 1955, my parents drove from Indiana to California so my younger sister and I could experience a new theme park, Disneyland. I was a few weeks shy of 10 years old. While my Mother and I were walking around we came upon an "open air" studio where artists were seated at easels. As we wandered through, my Mother heard an artist say "Hi, Walt".

Recognizing Walt Disney, she and I ran to a nearby shop where she purchased this postcard. Handing it to me, she said, "Ask Mr. Disney for his autograph, have him sign it on his picture". Since I always did what I was told, I approached him. When he took the postcard and began to sign it on the plain white side, I said, "My Mom said to sign it on your picture"! I recall him politely turning the card over and putting his unmistakable signature on his picture (the shiny side)! Only minutes later, we observed Walt Disney get into a helicopter and take off. I will always remember this once-in-a-lifetime experience...".

Measures 5.5" x 3.5". Once crease in upper right corner, otherwise very fine condition. Includes the Phil Sears Collectibles Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity. This is the first of these postcards signed on the image I recall in over 30 years! Item # 2436, $4995
