A beautiful display piece! An autographed print of Donald Duck being his usual irritable self. Back in Walt's day the Disney Studio made these high quality dye-transfer prints to give as high-end promotional items. Dye-transfer prints capture all the vibrant colors of the original cels (and are often mistaken for cels). Walt signed this mat in crayon, choosing a color that complimented the scene.
...In the 1940s my father, Phil Willcox, worked at Parents
Magazine in NYC. He developed the movie dept and presented awards on a
regular basis in Hollywood. Walt became a very special person to Dad and
they enjoyed a friendly relationship. We got yearly pictures and updates on
new projects. We only visited once as a family in the early 50s and Walt was so kind to us. He even asked Mom if I could be in
movies for him. She explained that she wanted me to grow up "normally".

could identify. He sent it to us in the 50s and it was always on my wall...

toning/soiling to the mat. Part of the original Disney
