An autograph always means so much more if the story of how and where it was obtained has been preserved.  Included with this autograph is an email from the former owner:

"The year was 1959, our family was on our yearly summer vacation... One of the stops this trip was the site of future Squaw Valley Resort.* At that time it was only a graded dirt lot. We had parked the car and sitting inside, noticed 3 men standing in front of us talking..."

(*Phil Sears' note: Squaw Valley Ski Resort was already open at this time, but grading of land for facilities of the 1960 Winter Olympics at Squaw Valley-- for which Walt Disney produced the entertainment-- may be what the then-six year old writer saw.)

"... My dad said, "Hey that one guy is Walt Disney"! Dad said, "Kit why don't you go out and ask him for his autograph"? Being only 6 years old, I was scared stiff. So, my mom looked around and found the only thing(s) we had to write on, a matchbook cover, and a pencil. She went and met Walt and got his signature while the rest of us waited in the car. When we returned home dad framed the autograph and it's been there since. Would like to see it preserved, hate to see this piece of our history get lost or stolen..."
