Disneyland Ticket Book Autographed By Walt Disney

Not many Walt Disney autographs come with a letter from founding Disney Archivist Dave Smith!  But this rare piece includes the Walt Disney Archives Letter AND the Phil Sears Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity! 

Despite the publicity photo shown here of Walt Disney signing autographs on Main Street, the fact is items signed at Disneyland are not common.  Walt even politely refused to sign at Disneyland for future Disney Archivist Dave  Smith, back when Dave was a teenager!  If Walt felt a lot of other people were watching, he'd often beg-off, asking the fan to write to the Studio for an autograph, saying something like, "If I sign for you I'll have to sign for everybody."  But if you caught Walt at the right moment, you just might get a quick autograph like the one offered here.

This Disneyland ticket book cover is code-dated 1960, when Disneyland was just 5 years old.  Walt Disney has autographed in dark ink directly above the word DISNEYLAND, right next to Sleeping Beauty castle!  Few Walt Disney autographed items are more sought-after by collectors than those associated with Disneyland.  Measures approximately 5.75" x 2.5".  Ticket book cover only; no tickets included.  In very fine condition.  Includes the Dave Smith Disney Archives letter, the Phil Sears Collectibles Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity, and the 8" x 10" color photo of Walt and his characters.  Item #7620  $6995
