 Rare Walt Disney Wartime Letter
on Mickey Mouse Stationery

In 34 years I can count on one hand the number of Walt Disney letters that have come my way on Walt Disney Productions Mickey Mouse letterhead.   While his brother Roy- whose correspondence was almost always business related- used the official company stationery, Walt prefered to use his more personal and simple "Walt Disney" stationery.  But in this case- because he is formally endorsing a company employee for a U.S. military position- Walt Disney has used the official company letterhead. 

Walt himself was eager to get into an earlier World War, and surely would have understood his employee's dedication to the WWII effort.  The top of the letterhead is adorned with Walt's alter ego, Mickey Mouse, in red.  The letter exhibits an exceptionally dark and bold fountain pen signature.  A Walt Disney letter on this stationery is about one hundred times more rare than his usual letters.

Measures approximately 8.5" x 11".  In very fine condition with usual mailing folds; typed carbon on original letterhead with original ink signature.  Includes the Phil Sears Collectibles Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity.  Also included is an 8" x 10" photograph (shown at top of page).  Unframed.  This is a special find.  Item # 7619, $7995
