Very Rare Walt Disney Autographed
"Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood"
and Three Little Pigs Book

This 1934 book is among the rarest to find autographed by Walt Disney.  Written by the staff of the Walt Disney Studios and published by Blue Ribbon Books, it combines the stories of the Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood using their common enemy, the Big Bad Wolf.  Walt Disney, likely at his desk at the old Hyperion Avenue "Mouse Factory" Disney Studio, has inscribed and signed the book with a huge signature in fountain pen ink:

TO TOMMY BELL    WITH MY BEST WISHES    WALT DISNEY

This early version of his cursive signature is much more rare than his signature from later in life when he appeared on television.  Until Walt Disney hosted his television show starting in 1954 he didn't receive as many requests for his autograph, making this early example from the 1930's uncommon.  And it's especially rare in this book; I can't remember the last time I encountered one... if I ever have.

Because of it's delicate condition, this rare Walt Disney signed book from such an early date is priced thousands below what it would be.  The covers show fading and heavy wear with paper loss; tape has been used over the years for reinforcement to exterior and interior of book; extraneous writing on the Disney signature page as well as other pages in the book.  I
